Three dealerships in Seaside will be closing their doors June 20th. The Peninsula Auto group which owns the Cadillac, Chevrolet and Hyundai, owner Doug Maund, from Texas, told management on Friday that he was closing the business. Employees got the news Monday.
50 people at all three dealerships will lose their job. Raising speculation a local dealership of Victory Toyota may buy the dealerships, but is not certain.
The Seaside Auto dealers are a very big part of tax revenues so hopefully, another dealership owner will step up and buy the dealership.
