It seems like we are having colder-than-average temperatures accompanying rain across the Carmel and parts of Monterey could spoil some outdoor plans Sunday and Memorial Day forecasting mostly clouds for the day. Carmel Beach was raining this morning and the crowd was running for cover.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration issued a map with the forecast for the three-day weekend marking the start of summer for many Americans, and there’s one glaring trend: California is trending cool and wet, and the East hot and dry. The middle of the country could get slammed by severe storms.

We’ll start seeing some warming as the week goes on. Right now the sun is popping out so there might be some luck, we may have time to get on our BBQ apron and start cooking the ribs and corn for company arriving.
