I saw this woman on Carmel Beach who was investigating all the dead birds on the beach so I decided to ask her what was going on. She said “this is a normal procedure and that Carmel Beach is the beach which has the least amount of dead birds. Birds die for many reasons, could have gotten caught in a net, broke a wing, ate something that killed them or died of old age. ” She said our ocean here in Carmel-by-the Sea is one of the cleanest oceans around and that the birds are not dying because the ocean in Carmel id is not toxic.
