The Night Before Big Sur Marathon
We visited Crossroads Shopping Center the day before the Big Sur Marathon and they were all working hard to get it ready for tomorrows race, this is the finishing location. To all the locals, beware that a portion of Highway 1 will be closed during the race.
Described as the “largest rural marathon in the world,” the race Sunday runs along the coast from Big Sur to Carmel.
Participants are given six hours to complete the course as Highway 1 will be reopened at 1 p.m.
